Senior Requirements Analyst

The Senior Requirements Analyst will support multiple federal agencies through the Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with many different federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.

 

As a member of the Service Transition organization, the Senior Requirements Analyst will work closely with engineers, testers, trainers as well as government Agency personnel to perform requirements analysis, analysis of alternative solutions, and generation/maintenance of Requirements Traceability Matrices in support of the deployment of cyber solutions.  The Senior Requirements Analyst will execute effective solutions for internal and external requirements management functions on a large-scale cyber program.


Responsibilities:

The Senior Requirements Analyst will perform all key functions for the facilitation, execution, documentation, and reporting of requirements management practices both internally and externally with government agencies.  In addition, Senior Requirements Analyst will track the status of new/implemented solution capabilities/features ensuring traceability of technical functional requirements to test case outcomes.

•       Maintain the requirements management processes and procedures within the Change Management Plan to support requirements management

•       Engage internal and external stakeholders throughout the requirements management process to ensure comprehensive communications related to RFS development efforts and upcoming SELC gate reviews, and coordinate/track communications for requirements management analysts

•       Create and maintain use cases that describe how the proposed solution meets CDM objectives

•       Derive high-level CDM requirements to ensure that the proposed solution fulfills all CDM objectives

•       Perform liaison tasks to cultivate internal and external stakeholder consensus that both use cases and derived requirements are in line with solution capabilities and CDM objectives

•       Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices as well as processes and procedures to support Requirements Management

•       Perform liaison tasks to de-conflict Requirements Traceability Matrices through Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) meetings

•       Track the status of each RFS solution (capabilities/features), ensuring traceability of technical functional requirements to test case outcomes

•       Assess potential impacts on ability to meet solution requirements within applicable Information Security frameworks and policies

•       Generate and evaluate requirements management metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement

•       Analyze requirements management process and capitalize on opportunities for process improvement, and development of new processes/procedures

•       Support creation of contract deliverables and change control project artifacts

•       Support training efforts as required - provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs


Required Qualifications:

•       Bachelor’s degree

•       7+ years demonstrated of requirements management related experience

•       Experience working with the federal government Agency change control boards

•       Must be comfortable working with both internal and external stakeholders to interpret and define solution requirements

•       Knowledge of IT systems management, particularly Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

•       Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies as well as ITIL/ITSM experience

•       Effective oral and written communication skills with customer, technical, and management personnel

•       Must possess a self-starter mentality and be an effective, solution-based problem solver

•       Ability to work as part of a team and work independently

•       Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills

•       Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite (including MS Office Suite, Visio, and MS Project)

•       Ability to obtain a Public Trust and DHS Suitability clearance


Desired Qualifications:

•       Current DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) and other civilian Agency clearances

•       Active Top Secret clearance preferred

•       ITIL certification a plus

•       Extensive experience with SharePoint & JIRA

Qualifications:

•       Ensure proper access controls are implemented for both system access and physical access to data processing facilities.

•       Create, update and assess compliance of system Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.

•       Provide information security expertise to system development teams throughout the System Engineering Lifecycle process.

•       Ensure Plan of Action & Milestone (POA&M) and other compliance and vulnerability issues are re-mediated in a timely fashion.

•       Any DoD 8570 approved baseline certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CAP, CISM)

•       Ensure proper access controls are implemented for both system access and physical access to data processing facilities.

•       Experienced with creating Security Plan, Privacy Threshold Analysis, Privacy Impact Assessment, e- Authentication, FIPS-199, Business Impact Analysis.

•       Provide information security expertise to system development teams throughout the System Engineering Lifecycle process.

•       Independently manages workload and provides guidance to less experienced staff.

•       At least five years of experience with FISMA Compliance and the NIST RMF.

•       Demonstrated expertise in SELC, Information Security processes, audits, tools, implementation, FISMA, NIST, IT security, activities related to Ongoing Authorization.

•       Experience with Xacta IA manager, Nessus Security Center, Splunk, FedRAMP, Data Centers, AWS, and prior DHS experience strongly preferred.

 


Position requirements:

•       Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in information security.

•       A degree in a related field is preferred.

Big Fix Engineer

MicroSys is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior BigFix Engineer to join our team the Reston VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within MicroSys. The Sr. BigFix Engineer will support multiple federal agencies through the Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high- profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with many different federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.

 

The Sr. BigFix Engineer is responsible for the integration and hands-on implementation of new capabilities and managing existing capabilities for federal agencies in support of the CDM DEFEND E project and customer requirements. The Sr. BigFix Engineer will work closely with architects, design engineers, and integrators to assess customer requirements and deploy and extend capabilities offered by the COTS and custom tools, and support dashboard data requirements.

 

Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise, guidance, and applying best practices.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•     Design, integrate, deploy, operate and maintain CDM tools and capabilities in enterprise on premise and Cloud environments

•     Develop installation, configuration, and deployment methods including scripting, use of APIs, orchestration, automation, and database services to support the integration and configuration of asset management applications and security technologies

•     Work with architects, integration engineers, and developers to design solutions and improve data quality, security, and compliance or extend current capabilities and offerings to customers

•     Assess system designs to validate them against expected technical parameters in support of the CDM data model

•     Identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer, and stakeholder needs and translates them into hardware and software requirements

•     Identify and manage solution dependencies with other systems and elements of the enterprise IT infrastructure

•     Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies

•     Perform data validation, analysis, warehousing, and data mining to improve Data Consistency and address gaps

•     Develop and maintain detailed installation documentation and SOPs as required

•     Provide best practice guidance to government customers including deployment and integration strategies to deploy and integrate asset management tools like: IBM BigFix and SCCM; including 3rd party integrations like ServiceNow, Carbon Black, and Splunk

•     Create technical documentation, diagrams, guides, schedules, and other deliverables to support internal and external customers

•     Provide tool operations and maintenance support, Tier 3 customer support as the subject matter expert

•     Provide mentoring and support to other engineers


Position Requirements:

•     Bachelors Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field or equivalent technical/vocational certification and a combination of experience preferred

•     7-9 years’ with a Bachelor’s Degree, 4-0 years’ with a Master’s Degree

•     Minimum of 5 years’ experience administering IBM BigFix or similar tools, such as Microsoft SCCM as subject matter expert and hands-on experience with tool deployment, configuration, customization, and endpoint management in a large enterprise setting

•     Experience applying effective tool lifecycle management including: developing effective inventory methods and baselines, patch assessment and management, hardware asset discovery, software asset management, configuration settings management, protections, and containerization methods, etc.

•     Experience developing applying fixlets and tasks or similar script and query methods required to perform patch baselines; including testing and deployment strategies

•     Experience establishing security compliance and policy configurations

•     Effective communications skills, both oral and written

•     Experience leading technical discussions with internal and external customers

•     Experience developing and/or deploying provisioning methods, scripts, and applications

•     Experience and use of the key tools, technologies and relevant script methods relevant to asset management provisioning

•     Experience and use of the key technologies relevant to application configuration or integration including SSL, DHCP, Active Directory, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, PKI, GPOs, PowerShell, SSH, etc.

•     Experience managing enterprise device types and operating systems (Windows, Mac OS and UNIX) to include, Active Directory and Windows domain management including patch and configuration management and group policy objects

•     Understanding and use of Microsoft SQL database, database definition, procedures, and advanced SQL

•     Ability to troubleshoot broad-ranging issues (operating systems, network, firewall, COTS products, access and authentication schemes


Preferred:

•      Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent preferred

•      ITIL and/or Agile Scrum certification is a plus

•      CISSP Certification is preferred

•      Experience implementing, configuring, and administering enterprise hardware and/or software asset management tools and applying inventory and patch management methods in large enterprise settings

•      Patch management and analysis across multiple operating systems including Windows, Mac OS, and Unix, including patch analysis and remediation

•      Experience supporting incident response and handling; scanning for malicious content, automation, aggregation of intelligence data, development of remediation methods

•      Experience managing endpoints and content delivery in the Cloud

•      Experience using Virtualization Technologies, such as VMware, vSphere, Xen

•      Ability to perform ETL operations to retrieve enrichment content from existing hardware, software, system boundary inventories

•      Knowledge of CPEs, CVEs, and CCEs

•      Knowledge of NIST, RMF, or CDM Framework


Clearance:

•      Candidate must be a US Citizen and capable of attaining DHS Suitability and Public Trust 6C Clearance or above. Active Secret clearance or above is preferred.

Governance Analyst

The Governance Analyst will report to the Governance Lead and be responsible for supporting, implementing and/or drafting governance recommendations to federal agencies and internal project teams in various areas, including information assurance, business continuity, change management, risk mitigation as well as industry best practices related to cybersecurity and the implementation of cybersecurity solutions.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Under the guidance of the Governance Lead, the Governance Analyst shall perform the following in the areas of Program Governance, Project Management and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC):

•       Assist in internal and agency-required security assessments, to include the potential creation of any necessary post-assessment deliverables

•       Assist and perform cyber security capability maturity assessments

•       Perform gap analyses and develop recommendations for management or Agency consideration— provide recommendations and suggestions to internal project teams and federal agencies of industry best practices related to information assurance programs, cybersecurity policies, procedures, and processes, business continuity, change management, risk identification, and risk mitigation

•       Assist in gathering deliverables and collateral for all necessary project gates

•       Assist in the creation of any necessary artifact/collateral for each project milestone

•       Write, maintain and review policies to ensure compliance with Federal agency requirements within the scope of the CDM solution

•       Review policy, memos, and other Agency directives to identify potential impacts to cyber implementations, and make recommendations for improvement or policy changes

•       Draft correspondence and memorandums on various subjects, e.g., Cyber Security guidance, strategic information technology plan updates, continuous monitoring strategy

•       Build and maintain direct relationships across MicroSys’s CDM project teams and with Agency POCs

 


Position Requirements

•       Bachelor's degree required (B.S. in information security, information technology, or related focus) with 5-7 years of professional experience in IT or cyber-related fields

•       Minimum 3 years of experience managing, developing, and implementing enterprise IT and cyber security policies and governance activities on IT implementations across Federal customers

•       Knowledge and experience with cybersecurity industry and government programs, policies, and strategies

•       Experience working with other teams to create new processes and procedures to meet security and compliance requirements

•       Strong understanding of frameworks, such as NIST 800-53, Cybersecurity Framework, 800-37, FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, ISO 27000 

•       Experience preferred performing organizational change management to improve how an organization functions and developing new and/or re-engineering roles and responsibilities

•       Solid understanding of cybersecurity compliance measures and resolutions

•       General familiarity with compliance assessment requirements

•       Exceptional customer focus and bias for action

•       Experience balancing the demands of multiple clients simultaneously
